A Little About Me
I am a clinician-educator and have had the pleasure of working in the University of Michigan in the division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology since 2006. Jackie and I moved to Ann Arbor with two kiddos, Danny and Monika, and we have had a splendid time here in Ann Arbor.
In addition to caring for patients, working with house staff and students, I am interested in a few specific areas:
- sharing ideas on metacognition and how it can help improve personal well being and reduce clinical diagnostic error in patient care
- developing tools to help physicians master the electronic health record (EHR) to reduce the contributing role of the EHR on physician burn out
At Michigan Medicine, we use Epic for our EHR, and it is called MiChart. We went live in 2012.
The journey to mastering both clinical medicine and the EHR are intertwined. We have a lot of work ahead of us to make this parallel journey rewarding and enjoyable.
Feel free to send me a note with comments on topics covered or errors discovered here at The LATTTE Lab.
