A Little About Me
I am a clinician-educator at Michigan Medicine, University of Michigan in the Division of Digestive Health and Hepatology.
In addition to caring for patients I am interested in clinical diagnostic reasoning and cognitive psychology, especially how the electronic health record (EHR) impacts clinical reasoning and physician burn out and how best to train physicians who want to master the EHR.
At Michigan Medicine we use Epic for our EHR, and it is called MiChart. We went live in 2012.
Improving the User Experience with the EHR can be rewarding and remains a challenging goal and is always a team sport.
The journey to mastering both clinical medicine and the EHR is intertwined. We have a lot of work ahead of us to make this parallel journey rewarding and enjoyable.
See you around.

I have no financial disclosures related to work on this site. But I do love spending time with my wife and children. I also love pour-over coffee and intuitive technology that solves problems both little and big.
